arrival

I'm sitting here waiting for an extremely slow internet connection, so I am going to typ up some old things I never posted. This is from the first day:

The last few hours on the plane were horrible. I had a quiet feeling in the back of my mind, thinking: Why is the flight almost over? Why didn't I enjoy the travelling more? Get prepared, read up on Kenya more? I looked out the widow with quiet dread and thought: four months. Four months is a long time. And then we arrived, it started to get light. I stepped out of the plane onto the stairs. I took a deep breath, and the smell was wonderful, full of water and life. Walking towards the terminal, I saw two swallows chase eachother. African swallows, I thought, and laughed. This should turn out great.
